Composer Gena Branscombe was a leading figure in American classical music from 1905 until her death in 1977. Her richly melodic, award-winning body of work includes over 150 art songs, chamber music, choral works and piano compositions. An integral part of New York musical life in her time, Miss Branscombe was also the founder and leader of the Branscombe Choral, with an illustrious career that included performing and conducting for kings, presidents and the celebrated figures of her time.
